I've never gone to therapy? How do I get started?

Good for you! I understand that beginning counseling can be a very vulnerable and scary prospect, which is why I offer a 10 minute consultation at no charge (schedule below). If you decide to move forward, you will receive an email directing you to my client portal to begin filling out new client paperwork. There you can complete your new client intake forms where you tell me a bit more about what you are looking to work on in therapy and take a few (short) assessments that give a little more background.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with clients aged 18 and up for individual and group counseling.  I can see adolescents under specific circumstances, however I do not offer counseling for children.

While I don't offer couples counseling, partners or family members may participate in sessions if deemed beneficial by both parties.

Do you take health insurance?

I am an out of network provider with all insurance companies. Payment is due at the time of services and I provide a statement to be submitted directly to your insurance company. You may be eligible for partial reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

Can you prescribe medications?

As a licensed mental health counselor, I cannot prescribe any medication.

How much are therapy sessions?

The initial session cost is $225 for a 75-minute session. Ongoing sessions are $175 for a 50-minute session.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Life happens! There is no cost if you cancel your session 24 hours or more in advance. If it is less than 24 hours, there is a late cancellation fee of $75 (I give everyone one freebie)! You can opt-in for appointment reminders that are sent out 36-48 hours in advance, so you can cancel if necessary.
